A quick flash of light
From Pallas helm soon swallowed
in cobwebbed street lamps.
I've been looking for a new metric although an old one would do as well. Anything to explain how the decisions I've made to arrive here can be married to those I need to make to move forward (or, more literally, East). This new measuring tool will need to twist, bend and pull me through the next few weeks; wringing sweat, bringing tears.
The Pacific Northwest is where I belong. I know that, I can feel that strongly - but I'm wondering if I came back too soon. I can only hope that I haven't ruined my chance at staying here someday.
The past two years have been a monument to exploration and failure. Perhaps it's time to indulge in something a little less experimental and a little more likely to succeed.

Enough.
